About Me

alana da silva: I am a filmmaker and photographer who lives in Sweden but was raised in Canada. This blog is dedicated to my hysterical, colorful and wild family, who have helped create the person I am today. I plan to travel with my grandmother, my mother and uncle, to Guyana this summer to make a documentary about our roots and her reunion with colleagues from a job she held more than 35 years ago. This will be her first trip home since the mid 70's.
